To Whom it may Concern,

I have great pleasure in writing a reference for Megan Seres, an artist I have known and collected for a number of years now.

I first saw and bought Megan’s work at her graduation exhibition at the National Art School, Sydney in 2004. Amongst the many talented artists whose work ranged from 5 to 10 pieces, Megan had over 50, an impressive number given the students had only six months to create a body of work.

As a long standing cultural lover and art collector, Megan’s technically accomplished works have and continue to make a lasting impression on me. Her works are often characterised by a dark and luminous palette that have a unique and enigmatic vision that synchronizes with her capacity to draw the viewer in.

To date, I have acquired a number of Megan’s works and in 2018 was delighted to be able to purchase her work for the ‘All We Can’t See’ exhibition, The Yellow House, Sydney in collaboration with Humans Rights Watch of which 50% of the proceeds of the work was donated.

I was very pleased to hear that she had won the prestigious Doug Moran National Portrait Prize. It was well deserved. and I wish her continued success.

Please contact me if you require any additional information.
